Adrienne Stein featured in Sotheby's Contemporary Art Auction!

I am delighted to share that my work will have its auction debut in March 2022 at Sotheby’s NYC! The auction is open for bidding March 4-16th, 2022. This is a new and wonderful honor for me. My painting “Demeter” will be auctioned during Sotheby’s upcoming contemporary art sale “Contemporary: Discoveries”.

Art Renewal Center in conjunction with Sotheby’s has invited me to submit a work, along with a select group of Contemporary Realist Masters from around the world, to be included in this special opportunity to introduce the work of artists working in the Classical Tradition to an international audience and to be part of the wider conversation in contemporary art. Art Renewal Center has worked tirelessly for many years to bring the work of contemporary realists to the forefront and elevate their work. I am forever grateful for their advocacy and vision!

Adrienne Stein “Elementals” featured in Fine Art Connoisseur and MutualArt

I’m excited to share that my debut solo show “Elementals”, which opened January 11th at Gallery 1261 in Denver, CO was a wonderful success. The opening was well-attended by friends, fellow artists, and collectors alike. It was a great challenge to assemble a show that felt so personal, with thematic and aesthetic unity.  MutualArt and Fine Art Connoisseur published fantastic articles to promote the show. Solo Show at Gallery 1261

Opening reception: January 11th, 2020 | 6-8 PM

Gallery 1261 is proud to begin the year with Adrienne Stein’s solo exhibition, “Elementals”. The newest body of work by this Colorado/Pennsylvania figurative artist explores the four elements: Earth, Fire, Water and Air.

Adrienne Stein is an award-winning painter and Gallery 1261 is thrilled to exhibit her very first solo show. The title of the exhibit is derived from the Renaissance concept of the four elements being embodied in mythic beings known as Elementals. The paintings in this show depict figures that correspond with the elements of Earth, Fire, Water, and Air. Adrienne shares, “The color and emotional tenor of each painting is distinct, and I wanted to have the experience of traveling into a new unique world with each painting.”

The works in this exhibition will be mostly small, ranging from 5”x7” to 12’x16’—each is a meditation on color and nature. Preview the show here.
